Where the edge actually sits
Four posts about numbers a lobby shows you and numbers it does not: the return a slot is configured to, the pay-table rows that decide a video poker game, the zero count on a roulette wheel, and the side-bet circles that cost more than the table itself.

Bonus arithmetic
A headline multiplier is not the number that matters. What matters is the weighting applied to the game you actually play, which part of the balance is spent first, and the account clause that can take the winnings back.

Getting money out
Every payout has two clocks: the operator review and the banking rail. These posts follow both, plus the fee a card deposit collects on the way in and the escalated document check that meets a large win on the way out.

Reading the market
Two posts for the reader who wants the arithmetic rather than the pitch: what a state gaming report measures, and what the rake does to a winning poker session.

On this page — 3 sections
What gets written here, and why
The reviews and the tables elsewhere on this site answer one question: where to play. This section answers the other one — what the rules in the small print actually do to your money. Each post takes a single mechanism, works it through with arithmetic where arithmetic is what matters, and stops. No systems, no picks, no predictions.
The subjects come from the questions readers send after something has already gone wrong: a bonus that would not clear, a withdrawal that turned into a verification queue, a dormant balance that shrank month by month, a self-exclusion that did not end when the term ended. Those are procedures, and procedures can be described exactly.
What is worth reading first
If you are clearing a bonus, start with the posts on game weighting and on cash held in one balance with bonus funds: between them they explain why a wagering multiple almost never means what it says. If you are waiting on money, the banking posts cover the settlement calendar for each withdrawal route and the paperwork that stalls the first payout. If you set limits, the responsible-play posts cover which ones take effect at once and which take a cooling period, and how a state programme differs from an operator block.
Figures in these posts are the ones printed in the source — a state regulation, a state gaming report, a published pay table, an operator's own terms. Where a number would have to be invented to make a point, the mechanism is described without one. Nothing here is legal or tax advice.
Where it connects
Reading about a mechanism is half of it; the other half is who applies it. Operator pages are in casino reviews, the current ranked list is on the front page with the method behind it at how we rank, and banking routes are set out in deposits and withdrawals. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, responsible gambling lists the free US help lines, including 1-800-GAMBLER.
