What You Should Look for in a Poker Site

There is more to choosing a poker site than whether or not it accepts US players. While that's important for obvious reasons, there are other factors that should be just as important. Some of these other factors are

Safety of Funds

This piece of legislation was passed in 2006 and basically told banks not to do business with known gambling and poker sites. It also criminalized the ownership of real money poker sites.

The UIGEA was poorly written, but several of the largest online poker sites left the US market after the law was passed.
